This past October The World Peace Ensemble returned from their Album Release tour across Germany, where they played at distinguished venues including the historical JazzKeller in Frankfurt. The core members of The World Peace Ensemble are Derrick (reeds/ voice/keyboard), Zack (voice/guitar/bass), Bryan (guitar/bass), and John (drums).  This principal quartet is frequently augmented by additional musicians on instruments ranging from trombone to vocoder.  Their album “Let Your Light Shine” is now available Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, and other digital providers.

The World Peace Ensemble's goal overseas was to bring German and U.S. musicians together onstage to promote cultural coexistence. Founded at one of the top contemporary/jazz programs in the nation, the Frost School of Music, The World Peace Ensemble brings musicians together from across the country. Their origins range from Germany, Japan, Utah, Rochester, and D.C. Individual musicians have received distinction, including numerous “Downbeat” Jazz awards. Their sound is described as a mix of Jazz, Pop, Hip-Hop and World Music. If you wish for peace the World Peace Ensemble is the band for you.
